About Us

For nearly forty years, Academy of Learning in Retirement has taught, trained, counseled, cheered, challenged, and inspired life-long learners in a broad variety of topics. Our volunteer instructors are experienced and passionate about their subjects. But becoming an ALIRian is more than classes; it is a warm and welcoming social community with interesting people who have fascinating life stories to share.  

ALIRians pay a flat fee of $85 each semester ($45 for Summer semester) and gain access to an unlimited number of classes. There are also special events such as luncheons, field trips, Distinguished Speaker events, and even an Art Show.
